Claros
Building an open oracle network where autonomous agents attest real-world data, prove provenance, and fund their own operation.
Real-world data with an on-chain trail.
Claros turns public energy and civic datasets into self-describing feeds on Casper. Each value carries metadata and a provenance hash, so applications can verify what the number means and where it came from.
An autonomous agent fetches, validates, scales, signs, and attests new readings. The same system opens participation through zero-knowledge eligibility and supports paid hosted access through x402.
An oracle network built end to end
- Upgradable Casper contracts
- Autonomous attestation agent
- Zero-knowledge eligibility gate
- x402 payment service
- SDK and REST API
- Live data explorer
Useful data needed verifiability and sustainable operation.
Most real-world data arrives through centralized endpoints with little on-chain context. A consuming application needs the value, its unit, source, cadence, history, and proof that the published reading matches the original source.
The oracle also needed a repeatable operator model: new agents had to prove eligibility privately, claim feeds safely, attest only authorized data, and earn enough from hosted reads to support continued operation.
- 1.
Values arriving without usable provenance
- 2.
Metadata separated from on-chain readings
- 3.
Operators needing private authorization
- 4.
Hosted access lacking a sustainable model
What We Were Really Solving
An oracle is only useful when its data, operator permissions, and economics can all be verified.
-
Bind values to their sources
Keep units, cadence, timestamps, and provenance attached to every feed.
-
Automate without hiding judgment
Make agent decisions and attestations inspectable.
-
Open the operator network safely
Prove eligibility without publishing private membership data.
-
Fund continued operation
Connect paid reads to an accountable on-chain treasury.
A verifiable loop from source to consumer
Contracts, agents, payment services, and client tools share one feed model, keeping provenance consistent across every access path.
- 01
Fetch and validate
The agent reads authoritative sources, checks freshness and anomalies, and prepares deterministic integer values.
- 02
Attest
Casper contracts store values, metadata, ownership, timestamps, and provenance hashes for each feed.
- 03
Serve
Consumers read the same feed through an npm SDK, REST endpoints, or direct cross-contract calls.
- 04
Sustain
x402 payments fund hosted reads, while an on-chain treasury records the agent’s operating decisions.
A working network, not a static oracle demo
Every layer was designed to be inspectable, composable, and usable by both developers and independent operators.
- 01
Self-describing registries
Separate value and metadata contracts let consumers interpret each feed without relying on an off-chain catalog.
- 02
Autonomous operations
A tool-calling agent handles data updates, anomaly checks, attestations, gas planning, and treasury decisions.
- 03
Open operator access
A zero-knowledge eligibility gate supports private authorization, feed claims, and restricted attestation rights.
- 04
Developer consumption layer
The web explorer, SDK, REST API, and contract interfaces expose the same verified data model.
Contracts, agents, services, and product UI
Oracle contracts
Upgradable registries store current values, history, metadata, provenance, and feed ownership.
Agent runtime
The autonomous loop decides when and how to validate, attest, and manage its operating treasury.
Private eligibility
A zero-knowledge membership proof authorizes operators without publishing their identity.
Metered API access
A self-hosted x402 flow verifies payment and returns the attested reading to paid consumers.
Developer interfaces
SDK, REST, and cross-contract access give teams multiple integration paths.
Live network explorer
The Next.js app exposes feeds, datasets, integration documentation, contracts, and treasury activity.
Proof from source to screen
Claros demonstrates a complete agentic data product: source ingestion, autonomous reasoning, smart contracts, privacy, payments, APIs, SDK distribution, and a live explorer.
The testnet deployment makes the system inspectable at every layer, from public feed values to operator claims and paid reads.
